Ospel GPK-2A/F/00 Double RJ45 Category 5e Computer Socket, White
The Ospel GPK-2A/F/00 is a high-quality double RJ45 computer socket engineered for reliable Category 5e network installations. This wall-mounted outlet is designed to provide stable and efficient data transmission for computers, routers, and other networking equipment in both residential and professional office settings. With its clean white finish and standard design, it integrates seamlessly into any interior while maintaining a professional appearance.
This double computer socket offers a robust solution for managing multiple network connections from a single wall point. The use of IDC connectors ensures a secure and durable termination for network cables, minimizing the risk of signal loss or connection failure. Its compact design and standard dimensions make it easy to install in existing wall boxes, providing a tidy and organized cabling infrastructure. The IP20 protection rating confirms its suitability for indoor use, protecting the internal components from dust and debris in standard environments.
This socket is not designed for outdoor use or environments with high humidity, as it lacks moisture protection. It is also not intended for high-speed Category 6 or Category 7 installations, as it is specifically optimized for Category 5e performance standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified individual familiar with network cabling standards. The socket is designed for flush or surface mounting depending on the wall box configuration. To connect, strip the outer insulation of the Category 5e cable, arrange the individual wires according to the T568A or T568B wiring standard, and use an appropriate punch-down tool to seat the wires into the IDC terminals. Once connected, secure the socket into the wall box and attach the faceplate.
For optimal network performance, ensure that the cable twists are maintained as close to the IDC terminals as possible and avoid sharp bends in the cabling behind the socket.
