Docking Station OWC Thunderbolt 4 Wired Black Grey
The OWC Thunderbolt 4 Docking Station Wired Black Grey provides a compact, wired docking solution that expands connectivity for Thunderbolt- and USB-equipped computers. Designed to deliver charging, high-speed data transfer, display support and wired network access, the dock integrates multiple ports including Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C), USB Type-A, SD card reader, audio combo jack and Gigabit Ethernet. It supports power delivery to a connected computer and is compatible with macOS and Windows systems that support Thunderbolt 3/4 or USB4 functionality.
The dock consolidates several interfaces into a single, space-saving hub that reduces cable clutter while offering up to 90W power delivery to a host computer and continued charging for peripherals. Multiple Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports and USB Type-A ports allow connection of high-performance external storage, displays and accessories. A built-in SD card reader and Gigabit Ethernet port add convenience for content transfer and reliable wired network access. The device supports daisy-chain and multi-branch connection topologies for flexible peripheral arrangement and maintains compatibility with existing Thunderbolt and USB devices.
Connect the dock to a compatible Thunderbolt 3/4 or USB4 host via the upstream Thunderbolt (USB-C) port to enable data transfer, display output and power delivery. Plug monitors, external drives, keyboards, mice, headphones and other peripherals into the dock’s Thunderbolt and USB Type-A ports. Insert SD cards into the card slot for file access and connect a network cable to the Gigabit Ethernet port for stable wired internet. Use the upstream power connection to deliver up to 90W to the connected computer while also providing power to attached devices.
For best results, ensure your computer’s Thunderbolt firmware and operating system meet the stated compatibility (macOS 11.0 or newer for supported Mac models, Windows 10 x64 on Thunderbolt 4 PCs). When connecting multiple high-bandwidth devices, distribute them across the dock’s ports and consider direct connection of bus-powered drives to available Type-A or Thunderbolt ports to optimize performance. Use wired Ethernet for tasks that require stable, high-throughput network access and eject storage devices with safe-eject utilities before removal to avoid data loss.
