Capo for Acoustic Guitar Oxford AG345 (universal) – clamp-style universal capo for acoustic guitars
Oxford AG345 is a universal clamp-style capo for acoustic guitars designed to fit a wide range of neck profiles. The capo enables quick key changes by clamping across the fretboard, applying even pressure to the strings to help preserve tuning and intonation. Its compact, spring-loaded mechanism allows single-handed attachment and removal, making it suitable for practice, live performance and recording sessions.
The capo provides consistent, even pressure across all strings to minimise buzzing and maintain accurate pitch when transposing. Its universal, clamp-style design adapts to various neck radii and thicknesses, reducing the need for multiple capos. The spring mechanism ensures fast, secure mounting and removal without tools, and a soft rubber contact surface protects the fingerboard and strings from scratches.
Position the capo across the desired fret so the rubber contact pad sits directly over the strings, then squeeze the clamp open and release to let the spring engage. Ensure the capo applies even pressure from the first to the sixth string and is placed close to the fretwire without touching it to avoid buzzing. To remove, squeeze the clamp and lift the capo off the neck. Check tuning after placing the capo, since even pressure and neck relief can affect string pitch slightly.
Regularly wipe the rubber contact surface and metal parts with a soft cloth to remove dirt and sweat. Avoid excessive force when clamping near the nut and store the capo in a protective pouch to prolong rubber life. If prolonged intonation issues occur, try slightly repositioning the capo closer to or farther from the fretwire to find the best placement for your instrument.
