PaperSeal Paper Fibers 150-03763 100 g Brown paper fiber filler
PaperSeal Paper Fibers 150-03763 100 g Brown paper fiber filler is a dry, brown-toned cellulose fiber intended for use as a filler and reinforcement in paper restoration, repairs, crafts and model making. The fine fibers mix readily with adhesives, sizing or paste to add bulk, texture and dimensional strength to paper-based projects, helping to improve tear resistance and to blend with brown or aged papers.
These brown paper fibers provide a neutral, paper-compatible material that integrates with common conservation and craft adhesives. The dry form enables precise dosing for small repairs or larger fills and produces consistent texture when mixed. Because the fibers are cellulose-based, they respond to typical paper treatments and can be toned or pigmented when necessary to match surrounding material.
Blend the PaperSeal paper fibers with an appropriate adhesive, paste or sizing to form a workable pulp or filler. For small repairs, add a small quantity of fibers to diluted wheat starch paste, methylcellulose or PVA adhesive until a homogeneous consistency is achieved, then apply with a spatula or brush and shape to the repair area. For larger fills or pulp casting, increase the fiber proportion to create a thicker mixture, press or mould as needed, and allow to dry thoroughly before sanding or retouching. Adjust the colour by mixing small amounts of compatible pigment or toned adhesive if a closer match to the original paper is required.
Use conservation-grade adhesives and test compatibility on a sample before applying to original or valuable documents. Work in small batches to control drying and texture, and ensure adequate ventilation when using solvents or volatile adhesives. Store the product in a dry, cool place to prevent moisture uptake and clumping of the fibers.
