Signal cable PHOENIX-CONTACT 1671085, 5 m, black/grey
PHOENIX-CONTACT 1671085 is a factory-terminated signal cable with a 5 m overall length, supplied in black and grey. Designed as a sensor/actuator cable with three conductors, the cable uses a PUR halogen-free jacket for mechanical resistance and improved safety in industrial environments. One end is fitted with an angled M8 socket featuring two status LEDs, while the opposite end is free for direct wiring to equipment or terminal connections. This cable is intended for signal and control wiring where a reliable pre-assembled 5 m lead is required.
The PUR halogen-free jacket provides abrasion and oil resistance while reducing the risk of harmful emissions in the event of fire. The integrated angled M8 socket simplifies installation in confined spaces and the two LEDs on the connector allow quick visual verification of signal or power presence. Factory termination eliminates on-site crimping or soldering, ensuring consistent contact quality and reducing assembly time.
Route the cable from the control device to the sensor or actuator, taking care to avoid sharp edges and sources of excessive heat. Plug the angled M8 connector into the matching M8 receptacle on the device until it is fully engaged and secured. Terminate the free cable end to the required terminal points or connector according to the device wiring diagram and applicable wiring standards. Verify connector polarity and check the two LEDs for indication of power or signal presence before commissioning.
For reliable operation, avoid routing the cable near high-voltage power lines or heavy inductive loads without appropriate separation. Use strain relief at the free end when fastening to terminals, and inspect the connector and jacket periodically for signs of wear or damage. Follow manufacturer wiring diagrams and local electrical safety regulations when making terminations.
