The Phoenix Contact 3040012 is a professional 2-conductor feed-through terminal block engineered for secure and efficient electrical wiring. Designed for reliability in industrial environments, this component facilitates stable signal and power distribution within control cabinets and automation systems. Its robust construction and precise engineering ensure consistent performance in demanding electrical installations.
This terminal block utilizes a spring-cage connection method, which significantly reduces installation time while providing high vibration resistance compared to traditional screw terminals. The compact design allows for high-density wiring, saving valuable space on DIN rails. Furthermore, the high-quality materials used in the housing ensure long-term durability and safety, making it a dependable choice for complex electrical circuits.
This terminal block is not intended for use in environments where conductor sizes exceed 4 mm² or where specific environmental sealing against moisture or dust is required without an additional enclosure. It is also not suitable for direct connection to high-voltage power grids exceeding the specified nominal voltage rating.
To install the terminal block, snap it onto a standard NS 35/7,5 or NS 35/15 DIN rail. Strip the insulation from your conductor according to the manufacturer's requirements and insert the wire into the spring-cage opening. The spring mechanism automatically secures the wire, ensuring a gas-tight and vibration-resistant connection. To remove or adjust the wire, use a standard screwdriver to actuate the spring release.
Always ensure that the power supply is disconnected before performing any wiring operations. Use appropriate wire stripping tools to avoid damaging the conductor strands, and verify that the wire is fully inserted into the terminal to maintain a secure electrical contact.
