Phoenix Contact PTFIX 6/12X2,5 Distribution Block
Phoenix Contact PTFIX 6/12X2,5 Distribution Block
The Phoenix Contact PTFIX 6/12X2,5 Distribution Block is a professional-grade component designed to streamline electrical wiring in control cabinets. This compact distribution block provides a reliable solution for power distribution and signal routing, ensuring that complex electrical installations remain organized and accessible. By utilizing advanced connection technology, it supports efficient maintenance and high-performance operation in demanding industrial environments.
This distribution block offers significant time savings during installation, as the ready-to-mount design eliminates the need for manual bridging. The integrated Push-in direct connection technology allows for tool-free conductor insertion, which drastically reduces assembly time. Its compact footprint enables space savings of up to 50% on DIN rails when mounted transversely. Furthermore, the availability of multiple color variants ensures clear and intuitive wiring identification, while the versatile mounting options, including DIN rail, direct, or adhesive mounting, provide maximum flexibility for various cabinet layouts.
This distribution block is designed for standard industrial control cabinet applications and may not be suitable for high-power distribution tasks exceeding its nominal current rating of 24 A. It is also not intended for outdoor environments without appropriate protective enclosures or for applications requiring wire gauges larger than 4 mm².
To install the block, select the desired mounting method: snap it onto a DIN rail adapter, mount it directly to the panel surface, or use an adhesive base. Once secured, insert the stripped conductors directly into the Push-in connection points without the need for tools. If additional capacity is required, the blocks can be interconnected using plug-in bridges inserted into the conductor shaft.
For optimal performance and safety, ensure that all conductors are stripped to the correct length before insertion. Always verify that the connection is secure by gently pulling on the wire after installation. When using multiple blocks, ensure they are properly bridged according to your circuit diagram to maintain electrical integrity.
