Marker pen PILOT Pilot Super Color Gold — metallic gold ink, tip 1–3 mm
PILOT Pilot Super Color Gold is a metallic gold marker pen designed for writing, decorative marking and permanent accents on a wide range of surfaces. The pen dispenses metallic gold ink with a variable stroke width from 1 mm to 3 mm, making it suitable for medium to broad lines on paper, cardboard and many non-porous materials. The ink is water- and light-resistant, permanent once dry, does not contain xylene and is intended for use on plastic, glass, metal, wood and finished surfaces where a visible gold finish is required.
The marker delivers consistent metallic coverage and a clear gold tone that stands out on dark and light backgrounds. Its 1–3 mm tip provides flexibility for writing, outlining and filling small decorative areas without the need for multiple tools. The formulation is permanent and resistant to water and fading from light exposure, and it adheres to a variety of surfaces including plastic and glass. The absence of xylene reduces solvent odor compared with some industrial paint markers.
Shake the marker well before use to mix the metallic pigment with the solvent. Remove the cap and, if required, depress the tip lightly on scrap material until ink flows. Apply the marker with steady pressure to create lines from 1 mm up to 3 mm width depending on angle and pressure. Allow the ink to dry fully on the chosen surface; drying time varies with substrate and layer thickness. For best adhesion on non-porous surfaces, clean and dry the area before applying the marker.
Store capped horizontally or tip-down to keep the ink at the tip. Use in a well-ventilated area, avoid prolonged skin contact, and test on an inconspicuous area if surface sensitivity is a concern. For long-term outdoor exposure, consider an additional protective topcoat on surfaces subject to abrasion or extreme weather.
