Marker pen PILOT Pilot Pintor Black — black ink, stroke width 1–2.9 mm
Pilot Pintor Black is a pigment-based marker pen with black water-based ink and a variable stroke width from 1 mm to 2.9 mm. Designed for hand lettering, sketching, drawing and marking on paper and a wide range of other surfaces, it delivers consistent, opaque black lines suitable for diagrams, notes and creative projects. The versatile tip provides both fine and broader lines for detail work and filling larger areas while maintaining even ink flow and good coverage on many materials.
The marker offers a pigment-rich, water-based ink that produces ultra-covering black on porous and many non-porous surfaces. Its variable stroke width (1–2.9 mm) makes it suitable for precision lines and thicker strokes without switching tools. The nib is durable for repeated use, and the ink dries to a stable finish that resists smudging on most surfaces when used as directed.
Shake the pen gently with the cap on before use to ensure even ink distribution. Remove the cap and test the stroke on scrap material to check the line width and ink flow. For finer lines, use the tip edge; for broader strokes, press slightly to use the fuller tip surface. Allow ink to dry fully; drying time varies by surface and ink layer thickness. Replace the cap securely after use to prevent the nib from drying out.
For best results on smooth non-porous surfaces, clean and dry the area before application. When using on fabric or items that will be washed or handled frequently, test on an inconspicuous area first and consider post-treatment recommendations specific to the material. Store horizontally or with the cap securely closed at room temperature to maintain ink performance.
