Omni-directional antenna PLANET ANT-OM5D-KIT N-type 7 dBi, 2.4/5 GHz, IP67
Omni-directional PLANET ANT-OM5D-KIT is a compact dual-band outdoor antenna designed for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless networks. With a peak gain of 7 dBi at 5 GHz and 4.5 dBi at 2.4 GHz, the antenna provides 360° horizontal coverage and vertical polarization for consistent signal distribution. The ANT-OM5D-KIT uses a female N-type connector, 50 Ω impedance and maintains VSWR ≤ 2 for stable RF performance. Housed in a weatherproof enclosure rated to IP67 and weighing just 65 g, it is suitable for exposed installations where a small, lightweight omni antenna is needed.
The ANT-OM5D-KIT combines dual-band operation with omnidirectional coverage to support both legacy 2.4 GHz and modern 5 GHz Wi‑Fi deployments. Its vertical polarization and controlled VSWR improve link reliability while the N-type female connector ensures compatibility with common RF cabling and outdoor devices. The IP67 protection level and compact dimensions (180 mm height, 23 mm diameter) allow for straightforward mounting on poles or enclosures in outdoor environments with temperature and humidity tolerances suitable for most network installations.
Mount the ANT-OM5D-KIT on a suitable pole, mast or enclosure ensuring the vertical polarization axis aligns with the radio device’s antenna orientation. Connect the antenna to an access point, bridge or router using appropriate low-loss coaxial cable and compatible N-type male connector. Position the antenna at an elevated location clear of large obstructions to maximize the 360° horizontal coverage. Verify connections and RF parameters, then test signal strength and throughput across both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands to confirm expected performance.
For best results, use weatherproof N-type connectors and high-quality outdoor-rated coaxial cable. Keep the antenna clear of metal obstructions and vegetation that can attenuate signals. When deploying multiple antennas, maintain adequate separation to reduce mutual interference and follow local regulations for outdoor wireless installations.
