The PLANET FTP-802 is a compact network media converter that combines 100Base-FX fiber connectivity with 10/100Base-TX copper and Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector functionality. Designed for extending network links and powering remote devices, the unit converts optical Ethernet signals to electrical Ethernet and supplies DC 48V over a single twisted-pair cable to IEEE 802.3af-compliant powered devices. With a SC multi-mode fiber port, a Fast Ethernet RJ-45 port and a maximum fiber reach of up to 2000 meters (model-dependent), the FTP-802 suits installations that require both long-distance links and remote device power delivery.
