It provides six 10/100/1000 RJ-45 ports with IEEE 802.3af/at Power over Ethernet, a 12 Gbit/s switching capacity and a 4000-entry MAC address table. The unit operates from 54 V DC, features a compact fanless metal housing in blue and includes two dedicated Gigabit uplink ports for connecting to core networks or NVRs.

How to use

Install the GSD-604HP on a desktop or shelf and connect the supplied 54 V DC power adapter to the power input. Use standard Cat5e or better UTP cables to connect PoE devices to the PoE-capable RJ-45 ports and connect the two uplink ports to your router, NVR or core switch for network access. Configure the port-based VLAN or Extend operation mode using the DIP switch according to your deployment needs: set VLAN mode to isolate ports for camera separation or set Extend mode for long-distance PoE connections at reduced speed. No software configuration is required for basic switching and PoE delivery.

Usage recommendations

For stable performance, distribute powered devices so the total power draw does not exceed the 65 W PoE budget. Use Cat5e or higher cabling for gigabit links and shorter runs when using Standard mode; enable Extend mode only when longer reach is necessary and accept the 10 Mbps duplex trade-off.
