How to use

Install the PLANET IFB-244-SLC in the chosen location using the supplied wall-mount or DIN-rail brackets and connect the unit to the local power source(s) within the 9–48 V range. Connect two fiber ports to the two remote fiber switches and the remaining two ports to the local fiber switch using LC single-mode patch cables at 1620 nm. Monitor the LED indicators to confirm normal operation (bypass and system status). When the IFB-244-SLC and the local switch are powered, the device forwards traffic between remote switches and the local switch. If local power fails, the optical bypass operates automatically and forwards traffic directly between the remote fiber switches until power is restored.
