Managed Switch PLANET IGS-4215-4P4T2S
The PLANET IGS-4215-4P4T2S is a managed industrial L2/L4 Gigabit PoE+ switch designed for hardened environments. It features 4 ports with 30 W 802.3at PoE+, 4 additional Gigabit copper ports, and 2 SFP slots for fiber uplinks. The switch provides IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack management, a switching capacity suited for business-class data/voice/video, an IP30 metal housing, and an operating temperature range from -40 to 75 °C. With a total PoE power budget up to 144 W and DIN-rail / wall-mountable installation options, it is intended for surveillance, wireless and VoIP deployments in demanding industrial locations.
The IGS-4215-4P4T2S combines managed Layer 2/Layer 4 features with industrial-grade hardware to deliver reliable network operation in harsh conditions. Built-in intelligent PoE functions—such as PD alive check, scheduled power recycling, PoE scheduling and power usage monitoring—simplify device management and help maintain uptime. The IP30 aluminum case and extended temperature tolerance increase immunity to EMI and electrical surges. Dual-stack IPv4/IPv6 support, SFP fiber uplinks and robust QoS and security features provide flexibility for integration into modern networks.
Mount the IGS-4215-4P4T2S on a DIN-rail or wall surface in a location that meets the device's operating temperature and ventilation requirements. Connect uplink fiber or copper to the appropriate SFP or RJ-45 ports and attach PoE-powered devices to the PoE+ ports. Power the switch with a compatible 48–56 V DC supply. Use the web GUI, Telnet or SNMP management interfaces to configure VLANs, QoS, security policies and PoE management features. For remote management, enable SSH/SSL or SNMP v3 to secure sessions.
Use the PoE schedule and PD alive check to reduce downtime and save energy: configure weekly scheduled reboots for cameras or APs prone to buffer overflow and set PoE schedules to disable ports during non-business hours. Monitor PoE power usage via the web interface and LED indicators to ensure connected devices do not exceed the 144 W budget.
