Unmanaged Switch PLANET IGS-614HPT
The PLANET IGS-614HPT is an unmanaged DIN-rail Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ switch designed for industrial and transportation environments. It provides four IEEE 802.3at PoE+ 10/100/1000BASE-T ports, one additional 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 uplink and one 100/1000BASE-X SFP slot for fiber uplink. Built in an IP40 metal housing with a wide operating temperature range and redundant power inputs, the IGS-614HPT delivers up to 120 W total PoE budget for connecting and powering network devices in hardened locations.
The switch offers a wide DC input range with built-in boosting to 54 V, dual-redundant reversible-polarity power inputs, and plug-and-play operation without management overhead. Its compact, ventilated IP40 metal case provides EMI and surge immunity while enabling fanless, quiet operation. An intelligent PoE Power Usage LED indicator displays cumulative PoE consumption at 30 W, 60 W, 90 W and 120 W thresholds. The SFP slot supports both 100 Mbps and 1 Gbps modules for flexible fiber distance extension.
Mount the IGS-614HPT on a DIN rail or fix it to a wall enclosure in a location within the specified temperature range. Connect DC power to the dual power input terminals, observing polarity; the device supports reversible polarity and redundant inputs. Insert an appropriate SFP module if a fiber uplink is needed, or use the RJ45 uplink port. Plug PoE-capable devices into the four PoE+ RJ45 ports; the switch will auto-negotiate and supply PoE power up to the available budget. Monitor the four orange PoE Power Usage LEDs on the front panel to check cumulative PoE consumption.
Use appropriate SFP transceivers that match the required distance and fiber type (multi-mode or single-mode). Ensure the total PoE power consumption of connected devices does not exceed the 120 W budget; distribute powered devices accordingly. Allow clearance for ventilation and protect power inputs with suitable surge protection in locations prone to electrical transients.
