Network switch PLANET IGS-6325-8T4X Managed L3, 8 x Gigabit RJ-45, 10G support, DC 12–48V, wall-mountable
PLANET IGS-6325-8T4X is a managed Layer 3 network switch designed for edge, aggregation and industrial deployments. It provides eight Gigabit RJ-45 ports, four 10G-capable SFP+ uplinks, an RJ-45 console port and a robust switching fabric with 96 Gbit/s capacity and a 16,000-entry MAC table. Housed in a metal IP30 enclosure and powered by DC 12–48 V with optional redundant inputs, the unit supports full-duplex operation and a broad set of IEEE networking standards for stable performance in demanding environments.
The switch combines Layer 3 routing and advanced Layer 2 features in a compact, wall- or DIN-rail-mountable housing, enabling high-speed uplinks, VLAN and QoS control, and secure management via SSH/TLS/SNMPv3. Industrial-grade temperature range, redundant power support and fast recovery ring protocols increase availability for critical applications. Integrated Modbus TCP, 1588 timing support and SFP-DDM monitoring extend interoperability with SCADA, telecom and time-sensitive networks.
Install the switch on a wall or DIN-rail according to site mounting instructions and connect the DC 12–48 V redundant power sources. Use the SFP+ uplinks to connect to backbone devices or servers and the RJ-45 ports for access devices. Access configuration through the built-in web interface, console or SNMP tools to create VLANs, set up Layer 3 static routes or enable OSPFv2 as required. Configure security features such as SSHv2, SNMPv3, ACLs and DHCP snooping, and enable Modbus TCP if integration with SCADA/HMI systems is needed. Monitor SFP transceivers with DDM and set up SMTP/SNMP traps and digital input/output alarms for automated event notifications.
For reliable operation, deploy redundant DC power sources and enable ERPS or MSTP for ring or redundant topologies. Use SFP+ transceivers rated for the intended distance and environment, and keep firmware up to date. Configure Layer 2 QoS and bandwidth limits to prioritise VoIP and video, and enable DHCP snooping and IP Source Guard to reduce spoofing risks.
