Network Media Converter PLANET IGTP-805AT
The PLANET IGTP-805AT Network Media Converter combines a Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000BASE-T port with a 1000BASE-X SFP fiber uplink and an integrated IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) injector. It delivers up to 30 W of PoE power to remote Powered Devices (PDs) while providing long-distance, high-speed fiber connectivity. The unit supports wide-range DC input and 24 V AC input for redundant and flexible power arrangements and is housed in an IP30 metal case designed for harsh environments, operating between -40 and 75 °C.
The IGTP-805AT extends PoE deployment beyond the 100 m Ethernet limit by using a fiber uplink and maintains up to 1000 Mbps throughput with store-and-forward switching, IEEE 802.3x flow control and Link Fault Pass-Through for reliable traffic delivery. Compliant with IEEE 802.3at, it supplies up to 30 W to PDs while remaining backward compatible with 802.3af devices. Its power design accepts 12–48 V DC or 24 V AC and includes a DC-to-52 V boost for convenient use with common power sources. The compact IP30-rated metal housing supports DIN-rail or wall mounting and tolerates wide temperature ranges for industrial deployments.
Install the IGTP-805AT in a suitable enclosure or on a DIN rail and connect a compatible SFP module in the SFP slot for the required fiber type and distance. Provide DC (12–48 V) or 24 V AC power to the unit, observing necessary polarity and wiring practices. Connect the RJ-45 PoE port to the PD using standard Ethernet cable (Cat5e or better). The device operates as a plug-and-play media converter and PoE injector; no software configuration is required. Use the DIP switch to enable or disable Link Fault Pass-Through or flow control features as needed for your network.
Use appropriate SFP modules that match the required fiber type and distance (multi-mode or single-mode) and ensure Ethernet cabling does not exceed 100 m between the IGTP-805AT and the powered device. For critical applications, provide redundant power sources and mount the unit in an environment within the specified temperature range to maintain reliable PoE and data delivery.
