Description

The PLANET IPOE-175 is an industrial-grade, IP67-rated single-port 802.3bt PoE++ injector that delivers up to 60 W over a Gigabit Ethernet connection. Designed for powered devices that require higher power, it transmits both data and PoE over a single UTP cable and is housed in a rugged aluminum case to withstand harsh outdoor and industrial environments.

Advantages

The IPOE-175 provides up to 60 watts of PoE output on a Gigabit Ethernet port while remaining backward compatible with IEEE 802.3at and 802.3af devices. Its IP67-rated, aluminum enclosure with waterproof RJ45 connector and shielded plug offers protection against dust, water, shock, vibration and electromagnetic interference. The injector supports a wide input range (24–56 V DC) with internal boost to 54 V, enabling use with common DC supplies and dual/backup power scenarios. Built-in ±8 kV Ethernet ESD protection and ±6 kV surge immunity increase system stability and protection for connected equipment.

How to use

Mount the IPOE-175 in a suitable outdoor or industrial location and connect a compliant 24–56 V DC power source to the injector's DC input. Attach the data source (switch or router) to the data input RJ45 port and connect the PoE output RJ45 (via the waterproof gland if installed) to the powered device using Cat5/5e/6 cable. The injector will provide both Gigabit Ethernet data and up to 60 W of PoE power over a single cable up to 100 m between the injector and the PoE PD or compatible PoE++ splitter.

Usage recommendations

Use shielded Cat5e/6 cables for best performance in outdoor or high-interference environments, verify that connected PDs accept 802.3bt/54 V input, and plan power budgeting with margin for long runs or multiple devices. For permanent outdoor installations ensure the RJ45 gland is properly sealed and the device is mounted within its specified temperature range.
