Network transmitter PLANET IPOE-E174
PLANET IPOE-E174 is an industrial PoE extender that converts one 802.3bt (PoE++) input into four 802.3af/at Gigabit PoE output ports, enabling point-to-multipoint PoE deployment. The device can receive up to 95 W from an 802.3bt PSE and provides a total PoE budget of up to 75 W across four downstream ports. It extends both Gigabit Ethernet data and IEEE 802.3at power over standard Cat.5/5e/6 copper cabling from the typical 100 m to 200 m, allowing up to four powered devices to be supplied simultaneously without an external power adapter.
The IPOE-E174 is built in an industrial-grade IP30 metal enclosure for improved immunity to electromagnetic interference and electrical surges common in industrial and roadside environments. It operates over a wide temperature range (-40 to 75 °C) for reliable outdoor or harsh-location use. Advanced front-panel LEDs indicate PoE power usage in real time (levels for 20 W, 40 W and 60 W), simplifying power monitoring. The unit supports true Gigabit speeds on all ports and offers a compact, five-RJ45-port design for quick network expansion.
Install the IPOE-E174 between a PoE power sourcing equipment (PSE) and the powered devices (PDs). Connect the PSE to the single PoE IN RJ45 port to supply both data and power to the extender. Use standard Cat.5/5e/6 cables to connect up to four PoE OUT ports to the downstream PDs. The extender simultaneously forwards Gigabit Ethernet data and injects DC power over the same copper cables while extending the link to 200 m. No additional power adapter is required when the PSE provides sufficient PoE++ power.
To ensure reliable operation, verify the PSE can provide up to 95 W and that the aggregated power demand of connected PDs does not exceed the 75 W output budget. Use quality Cat.5e or Cat.6 cabling and check the PoE power usage LEDs on the front panel to monitor current consumption.
