PLANET IXT-900-2X1UP is an industrial media converter that provides 10Gbps connectivity over both copper and fiber with IEEE 802.3bt Type-4 PoE++ support on its copper port. Housed in a blue metal IP40 case, the unit operates in extreme environments from -40 to 75 °C and accepts dual 12–54 VDC external power inputs. It combines one 10GBASE-T RJ45 port with two 10G SFP+ ports to deliver flexible media conversion, long-distance fiber links and up to 95 W PoE output on the copper interface for powering devices such as IP cameras and Wi‑Fi access points.

How to use

Install the IXT-900-2X1UP on a wall or DIN rail and connect the external 12–54 VDC power supplies. Insert compatible SFP/SFP+ transceivers into the fiber ports and connect fiber cables, or connect a Cat6/Cat6A cable to the 10GBASE-T RJ45 port. Configure network settings and PoE modes via the web GUI, CLI or SNMP according to the powered device requirements. Use the SFP-DDM diagnostics and SNMP monitoring for real-time status and troubleshooting. Schedule PoE and enable PD alive check if automatic power recycling or energy-saving operation is desired.

Usage recommendations

For reliable operation in harsh environments, use shielded Cat6A cabling for 10GBASE-T runs where possible, select SFP/SFP+ transceivers that match required distance and fiber type, and set PoE mode and port power limits to match the power class of connected PDs.
