AddOn Networks J9150D-AO SFP+ Fiber Optic Transceiver Module 10000 Mbit/s 850 nm
The AddOn Networks J9150D-AO is a high-performance SFP+ fiber optic transceiver module engineered for demanding 10GbE networking environments. Designed to provide reliable and efficient connectivity, this module supports a maximum data transfer rate of 10000 Mbit/s, making it an ideal solution for high-speed enterprise network infrastructure and data center applications. It operates at an 850 nm wavelength and is specifically optimized for short-range communication over multi-mode fiber.
This transceiver module offers seamless compatibility with a wide range of HPE Aruba switches, ensuring that it integrates perfectly into existing network setups without requiring complex configuration. The hot-swappable design allows for easy installation and maintenance, minimizing downtime during upgrades or replacements. Furthermore, the inclusion of Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) provides network administrators with real-time access to critical operating parameters, facilitating proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of the fiber link.
This module is designed specifically for multi-mode fiber (MMF) applications and will not function correctly with single-mode fiber infrastructure. Additionally, it is not intended for long-distance transmission exceeding 300 meters, as it is optimized for short-range 10GBase-SR performance.
To install the transceiver, ensure your network switch is powered on and the appropriate port is clear. Carefully insert the SFP+ module into the designated SFP+ slot on your HPE Aruba switch until it clicks into place. Once installed, connect your multi-mode fiber optic cable with an LC connector into the transceiver. The device is hot-swappable, meaning it will be automatically detected by the switch software upon insertion, allowing for immediate initialization without the need to reboot the hardware.
For optimal performance and longevity, ensure that the fiber optic connectors are clean and free of dust before insertion. Avoid bending the fiber optic cables beyond their specified minimum bend radius to prevent signal degradation.
