Description

The PLANET LRP-101CE is a single‑port Long Reach PoE extender designed to deliver both data and power to 802.3af/at compliant powered devices at distances beyond the standard 100 m. Working together with PLANET Long Reach PoE Injectors or multiple‑channel Long Reach PoE switches, the LRP-101CE enables transmission over existing 75 Ω coaxial cable for link extension up to 1,000 m (3,280 ft) while supplying PoE to a remote PD.

Advantages

The LRP-101CE provides up to 25 W output over Ethernet to power PoE IP cameras, PoE wireless access points or access control devices. It supports daisy‑chaining via BNC T‑connectors to share four nodes per port when expansion is required. The unit operates in a wide temperature range (−20 to 70 °C) for stable performance in harsh environments and features front panel LEDs for link, activity and PoE status. Plug‑and‑play design requires no configuration and can re‑establish a connection in under 5 seconds.

How to use

Install the LRP‑101CE at the remote device location and connect its RJ‑45 port to the PoE powered device (for example, an IP camera or wireless AP). On the network side, connect the LRP‑101CE to a PLANET Long Reach PoE Injector or Long Reach PoE Switch via existing 75 Ω coaxial cable (using BNC connectors). Power and data are supplied from the central injector/switch to the LRP‑101CE which then provides PoE over the Ethernet connection to the PD. No configuration is required; the device is plug‑and‑play and will show status via the front LEDs.

Usage recommendations

For reliable performance, use 75 Ω coaxial cable in good condition and verify compatibility with a PLANET Long Reach PoE Injector or Long Reach PoE Switch. Ensure the powered device’s PoE class and power draw do not exceed the 25 W output and 0.6 A current available from the LRP‑101CE.
