The PLANET MFB-TFA20 is an SFP fiber optic transceiver module designed for integrated duplex data links over optical fiber. Compliant with the SFP Multisource Agreement (MSA) and hot-pluggable, the module supports 100 Mbit/s operation at a 1310 nm wavelength and is intended for straightforward installation into SFP MSA-compatible ports without interrupting host equipment.
The MFB-TFA20 offers reliable fiber connectivity with FP laser diode transmission at 1310 nm, enabling cost-effective extension of network links. Its SFP form factor and hot-pluggable design allow quick deployment and replacement in standard SFP ports. The module is built to operate across a wide temperature range for industrial applications, providing consistent performance in electrically and climatically demanding environments.
Insert the MFB-TFA20 into an available SFP slot on compatible network equipment while the host remains powered on; the hot-pluggable design permits installation without shutting down the device. Connect the appropriate single-mode or multimode fiber cable to the module's optical port, ensuring correct connector type and clean end-faces. Configure the connected network devices for 100Base-FX operation as required.
Use single-mode fiber for links requiring distances up to 60 km and multimode fiber for short-distance links up to 2 km. Maintain clean connectors and follow manufacturer guidelines for handling optical transceivers to ensure reliable operation in industrial environments.
