Network transceiver module PLANET MFBFX 1310 nm, LC connector, up to 20 km
Network transceiver module PLANET MFBFX 1310 nm, LC connector, up to 20 km
PLANET MFBFX network transceiver module operates at a 1310 nm wavelength and uses an LC fiber connector to deliver single-mode optical transmission for distances up to 20 km. The module conforms to the SFP Multisource Agreement (MSA), is hot-pluggable and housed in a metallic enclosure for installation in compatible SFP ports. It is designed to extend network links between switches, routers and media converters in enterprise and telecom environments while maintaining continuity of host equipment operation during insertion or removal.
The MFBFX SFP provides a compact and standardized form factor that supports easy installation into SFP MSA-compliant ports without powering down host devices. Its metallic housing offers mechanical durability and electromagnetic shielding. Operating at 1310 nm with LC connection, the transceiver enables long-reach single-mode fiber links up to 20 km and is suitable for integration with common network equipment used in enterprise and carrier networks.
Insert the PLANET MFBFX SFP into an available SFP slot on a compatible switch, router or media converter while the host device remains powered, ensuring the module is fully seated and latched. Connect LC duplex single-mode fiber patch cables to the module’s LC connector, observing correct transmit/receive orientation. Confirm link status on the host device and verify optical power and link parameters using standard management interfaces or test equipment as required.
Use single-mode fiber with appropriate attenuation and connectors for runs up to 20 km and ensure compatible SFP port support on host equipment. Handle the optical ports carefully, keep dust caps on when not connected, and follow ESD precautions when installing or removing the module.
