The PLANET MGS-910X (GSW-0802-2S) is an unmanaged 8-port multigigabit Ethernet switch that provides eight 10/100/1G/2.5G RJ-45 ports and one 10GBASE-X SFP+ uplink. Designed for SMB and SOHO environments, it enables higher-than-gigabit access over existing Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and offers a fanless metal design for quiet, continuous operation.

Advantages

The switch supports automatic speed negotiation up to 2.5Gbps on each copper port, 12K jumbo frames, and a 60Gbps internal switching fabric for high throughput. A 10G SFP+ uplink provides flexible fiber extension. The unit uses store-and-forward forwarding and an address table supporting up to 4K MAC entries to ensure low latency and stable data integrity. Its fanless, thermally conductive metal housing reduces power consumption and operating noise.

How to use

Place the switch on a flat surface with clearance for ventilation. Connect network devices to the RJ-45 ports using Cat5e or higher cabling; the ports will auto-negotiate up to 2.5Gbps. For uplink or longer-distance fiber connections, install a compatible SFP+ transceiver in the 10G SFP+ slot. Power on the unit and verify link/activity LEDs to confirm connectivity. No configuration is required for standard plug-and-play operation.

Usage recommendations
