The PLANET MTB-LB20 is a high-performance SFP+ fiber optic transceiver module designed for 10G Ethernet connections. It supports a maximum data transfer rate of 10000 Mbit/s and a metallic housing, and is intended for use with equipment that provides 10G SFP+ interfaces to deliver reliable high-speed links for enterprise, telecom and ISP networks as well as data center cloud computing environments. The module supports multimode and single-mode deployments with typical reach from 300 meters (multi-mode, LC) up to 10 kilometres (single-mode, LC).

Insert the MTB-LB20 SFP+ transceiver module into a compatible 10G SFP+ port on your switch, router or network interface card until it clicks into place. Connect the appropriate LC fiber patch cable for multimode or single-mode as required by your network design. Verify link status and configure the connected devices for 10G operation if necessary. Follow standard ESD precautions when handling the transceiver.
Use factory-tested LC fiber patch cables that match the chosen fiber type (OM3/OM4 for multimode or OS2 for single-mode). Ensure device compatibility with SFP+ modules and keep transceiver dust caps on when not connected to protect optical interfaces.
