The PLANET POE-172 is a single-port Gigabit Ultra Power over Ethernet (Ultra PoE) injector that supplies up to 60 watts of DC power together with high-speed Ethernet data over standard Cat.5e/Cat.6 cabling. The unit is an all-in-one, compact injector with an internal power supply and two RJ45 ports (LAN and PoE) to simplify network deployment for devices that require higher power than standard PoE.

How to use

Connect the POE-172 LAN port to your network switch or router using an Ethernet cable, then connect the powered device or the POE-171S splitter to the PoE port. Plug the injector into an AC outlet using the built-in power input. The device will automatically detect and supply power and data over the Ethernet cable without additional configuration. When using the POE-171S splitter, choose the appropriate DC output (12V/19V/24V) for the powered device.

Usage recommendations

Use quality Cat.5e or Cat.6 cables and keep each powered device within the 100 m maximum cable length. Verify device power requirements before connecting to ensure the combined power draw does not exceed the 60 W output. For installations requiring DC connectors or different voltage levels, use the recommended POE-171S splitter to obtain 12V, 19V, or 24V outputs.
