PLANET POE173 is a compact single-port PoE injector that supplies both Gigabit Ethernet data and Power over Ethernet (PoE) in a small black housing. Compliant with IEEE 802.3/802.3u/802.3ab standards, it provides two RJ-45 ports (LAN and POE) with 10/100/1000 Mbps support and delivers up to 60 watts of DC power over all four pairs of standard Cat5e/Cat6 cabling. Designed for straightforward installation, the unit includes an internal power supply, one AC input socket and status LEDs for power and PoE activity, enabling fast deployment of high-power network devices without special configuration.

How to use

Plug the power cord into the injector’s AC input and verify that the POWER and PoE ACTIVE LEDs indicate normal operation. The injector requires no software configuration; once connected it provides Gigabit data and up to 60 W of DC power over the Ethernet cable. For split-output configurations use a compatible POE-171S splitter to convert the injected power to the required DC voltage for the powered device.

Usage recommendations

Use Cat5e or Cat6 cabling and maintain the 100-meter maximum run length for reliable data and power delivery.
