The PLANET POE-E201 is a compact network transmitter and receiver that extends both Gigabit Ethernet data and IEEE 802.3at/802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) beyond the standard 100 m limit. Designed for simple plug-and-play deployment, a single POE-E201 increases PoE reach to 200 m over Cat 5/5e/6 UTP cable, and multiple extenders can be daisy-chained to reach 300 m, 400 m or up to 500 m for longer installations. Housed in a small metal casing with two RJ-45 ports (PoE IN and PoE OUT), the device supports Gigabit data rates while forwarding power to powered devices without requiring a separate power supply.

How to use

Install the POE-E201 between a Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) such as a PoE switch or injector and the Powered Device (PD). Connect the PSE to the PoE IN RJ-45 port; connect the PD to the PoE OUT RJ-45 port. The unit injects DC power on the PoE OUT port while forwarding Gigabit Ethernet data transparently. For longer distances, place additional POE-E201 units in series (daisy-chain) between the PSE and PD according to required reach, ensuring each extender is connected with Cat 5/5e/6 cable.

Usage recommendations
