Posca – Ultra Fine Water Based Paint Marker – PC-1MR is a water-based paint marker from uni-ball POSCA with a fine fibre tip and vibrant yellow pigment. The marker writes on many surfaces; its pigment ink is fadeproof and water resistant and is permanent and bleed-proof on paper and card. For other substrates the mark can be made permanent with surface-specific treatments.

How to use

Shake the marker well with the cap on to mix the pigment. Press the tip gently onto a scrap surface to prime the flow before use. Apply with light, steady pressure for fine, consistent lines; multiple passes will increase opacity. On porous materials that require permanence, apply the marker then use an appropriate sealing method for the substrate (see usage recommendations).

Usage recommendations

To make marks permanent on non-porous surfaces: glass – bake at 160°C for 45 minutes then spray with clear varnish; textiles – fix by ironing on the reverse side; metal, plastic and wood – spray with clear varnish; terracotta – bake at 220°C for 45 minutes then varnish; porcelain – bake at 160°C for 45 minutes then varnish. Test on a small area before treating the whole item.
