Telescopic hedge trimmer POWERPLUS POWXG2044 550W, 550 mm blade, max reach 2.885 m
The POWERPLUS Telescopic Hedge Trimmer POWXG2044 with a 550 W motor and a 550 mm double-action blade is designed for home gardeners who need to trim and shape hedges and shrubs at various heights. The extendable pole reaches up to 2.885 m to access tall or deep hedges without using a ladder, while a tiltable head offers seven angle positions for working on tops and sides.
This electric hedge trimmer combines a relatively powerful 550 W motor with a long 550 mm laser-cut double-action blade for smooth, efficient cutting of mid-sized hedges. The telescopic shaft and 7-position tiltable head improve reach and ergonomics, reducing the need for ladders and awkward positions. It cuts branches up to 20 mm thick and includes practical accessories such as a blade guard, shoulder strap and handle-equipped shaft for safer, more convenient use.
This tool is intended for domestic and light landscaping tasks; it is not optimized for professional, continuous heavy-duty use. Branches thicker than 20 mm will not cut cleanly with the hedge trimmer and are better handled with a saw or lopping shears.
Assemble the shaft and attachment according to the manual, fit the shoulder strap and secure the blade guard before first use. Start trimming with the hedge trimmer switched off while positioning the head angle for the desired cut. Switch on the tool and move the blade in smooth, controlled passes along the hedge, keeping the cutting length and maximum branch diameter in mind. For high hedges, extend the telescopic pole to the required reach and adjust the head angle; maintain a firm two-handed grip and avoid overreaching. For branches thicker than 20 mm, stop and use a saw or lopping shears.
Trim hedges on dry, overcast days to avoid sunburn on freshly cut foliage. Perform the first annual trim between mid-May and mid-June; fast-growing species may need an additional trim between late August and mid-September. Adjust trimming frequency to hedge species and shape: formal shaped hedges require more frequent pruning than tall natural hedges.
