The Poynting A-MIMO-0003-V2-12 is a 2-in-1 high-performance directional antenna housed in a single IP68-rated enclosure. It covers a wide cellular frequency range from 410 MHz up to 3800 MHz, supporting 2G/3G/4G and emerging LTE and 5G bands (including 450 MHz and 3.5 GHz CBRS). With a maximum gain of 5.8 dBi and a 2 m cable, the antenna is designed for reliable operation in transportation, marine, M2M and IoT installations where focused reception and future cellular compatibility are required.
The antenna combines two cellular MIMO elements in one compact, weatherproof housing and offers ultra-wideband performance that works across multiple operators and technologies up to 3.8 GHz. Its radiation patterns are engineered to balance omnidirectionality, pattern diversity and elevation performance, delivering better overall reception than many competing products. The IP68 rating and robust construction make it suitable for harsh outdoor and marine environments.
Mount the antenna in a position with a clear line of sight toward the target network direction to take advantage of its directional characteristics. Connect the supplied 2 m cable to your modem, router or gateway using the appropriate connectors and secure all cable entries to maintain the IP68 seal. For vehicle or marine installations, use the recommended mounting hardware and ensure the antenna is firmly fixed to avoid movement that could affect directional performance.
For best results, align the antenna toward the closest or strongest cell tower and test different orientations during installation. Avoid placing the antenna near large metal objects or electronic equipment that can cause interference. Periodically inspect the mounting and seals to preserve IP68 protection in harsh environments.
