Rack-mounted 1U cantilever shelf front mount 300 mm, ProBase, black
ProBase 1U cantilever shelf front mount 300 mm, black is a compact rack accessory designed for standard 19" server racks. The shelf occupies a single U of rack space and provides a shallow 300 mm-deep platform that mounts to the front rack rails, offering support for lightweight networking equipment, small devices, and accessories when rear mounting is not possible. Its black finish integrates with common data centre and equipment-room aesthetics while keeping devices accessible for inspection and maintenance.
This front-mount cantilever shelf installs on standard 19" front rails and requires only 1U of vertical rack space, making it suitable for dense rack configurations. The 300 mm depth is tailored for compact devices and cable management near the rack front. The shelf’s solid construction delivers stable support without occupying rear rail space, and the black finish reduces visual clutter in equipment bays.
The 300 mm depth and 1U height make this shelf unsuitable for large or heavy equipment that requires full-depth support or rear mounting. It is not intended for mounting devices that exceed the shelf’s load capacity or require airflow and cable access from the rear. For heavy servers, full-depth storage, or equipment needing rear grounding brackets, a deeper or rear-supported shelf would be more appropriate.
Position the shelf at the desired 1U location on the rack’s front rails and secure it using appropriate rack screws and cage nuts compatible with your rack type. Place equipment centrally on the platform to distribute weight evenly and avoid overhanging loads. Use cable ties or organizers to route power and network cables safely, and periodically check fasteners for tightness after initial installation and service operations.
Use the shelf for lightweight, front-accessible devices and avoid placing concentrated heavy loads near the shelf edges. Combine with cable management accessories to maintain airflow and serviceability in the rack bay.
