Zone induction hob ProfiCook EKI 1062 — 1-zone black induction hotplate, Touch control, 10 power/temp levels
ProfiCook EKI 1062 is a single-zone induction hob with a black Schott Ceran glass-ceramic surface designed for compact kitchens, secondary cooking areas and portable use. The unit uses induction heating to deliver rapid heat-up and accurate temperature control across 10 power and 10 temperature levels, with a temperature range from 60 to 240 °C. A touch control panel with display, 180-minute timer, automatic shut-off and child lock provide safe, precise operation while the smooth ceramic surface is scratch-resistant and simple to clean.
The Zone induction hob ProfiCook EKI 1062 offers efficient energy transfer through induction technology, resulting in faster heating and reduced standby losses compared with conventional hotplates. ECO-Save mode helps shorten cooking cycles by up to 55% in typical use, and the ten-stage power/temperature selection gives granular control for simmering, boiling and searing. Integrated safety features include automatic shut-off, child lock and LED indicators, and the compact black glass-ceramic top resists scratches and wipes clean with minimal effort.
Place the induction hob on a flat, heat-resistant surface and ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Use cookware suitable for induction (magnetic base) and center the pot or pan on the cooking zone. Power on the unit via the touch control, select a power or temperature level using the display, and set the timer if required. Changes to power or temperature can be made during cooking through the touch controls. After use, switch the unit off and allow the surface to cool before cleaning with a soft cloth and non-abrasive cleaner.
For best performance and longest service life, use flat-bottomed magnetic cookware that matches the diameter of the cooking zone, avoid sliding heavy pots across the glass-ceramic surface to prevent scratches, and engage the child lock when the hob is not supervised. Regularly remove spills once the surface has cooled to prevent hardened residues.
