Pruning shears Proline 40007 — bypass secateurs, single piece
Proline 40007 — bypass secateurs supplied as a single piece are designed for routine garden pruning and light-duty cutting tasks. The tool combines stainless steel blades with hardened nylon arms reinforced with fibreglass and an anti-slip TPR handle to provide consistent cutting performance for stems, small branches and maintenance of shrubs, roses and fruit trees.
The stainless steel blade offers corrosion resistance and keeps a sharp cutting edge for clean cuts. Hardened nylon arms with fibreglass reinforcement reduce weight while maintaining structural strength during repeated use. An anti-slip TPR handle improves grip and control in dry and slightly wet conditions, helping to reduce hand fatigue. Supplied as a single unit, these bypass secateurs are ready to use without assembly.
Hold the secateurs with the cutting blade facing the part of the plant to be removed and position the blade close to the node or desired cut point for a clean cut. Use a smooth squeezing motion to close the blades, allowing the bypass action to cut through stems without crushing. For best results, cut slightly above buds or outward-facing nodes when pruning branches. Inspect the blade before use and remove sap or debris after each session. Store the tool in a dry place to preserve the stainless steel edge and the nylon components.
For prolonged blade life, clean the blade after use and apply a light coating of oil to the stainless steel surface. Avoid forcing the secateurs on branches larger than the blade capacity; use a saw or heavier pruners for thick wood. Periodically check the handle and arm connection for wear and replace the tool if structural damage is visible.
