Pruning shears Proline 40086 — secateurs for garden pruning, 1 piece
Pruning shears Proline 40086 are bypass secateurs designed for general garden pruning tasks. Supplied as a single unit, these garden secateurs are intended to trim branches, shape shrubs and cut stems for hobby gardeners and light professional use. The tool combines a stainless steel bypass blade with a two-component nylon and glass-fibre reinforced handle to provide a balance of cutting performance, corrosion resistance and low weight.
The bypass cutting action enables clean, precise cuts on live plant material, reducing the risk of crushing stems. The stainless steel blade provides corrosion resistance and maintains a sharp edge under normal garden use. The handle construction—nylon reinforced with glass fibre and finished with a two-component grip—offers impact resistance, reduced overall weight and improved handling comfort during repetitive tasks.
Hold the secateurs so that the bypass blade passes by the counter blade and position the cutting edge against the plant stem at a slight angle. Make a firm, single cutting motion to obtain a clean cut; avoid sawing motions that can damage tissue. For best results, cut stems that fall within the tool's recommended capacity and prune at nodes or just above outward-facing buds to encourage healthy regrowth. After use, wipe the blades clean and dry to remove sap and debris.
Regularly inspect and sharpen the stainless steel blade when cuts become ragged. Apply a light coat of oil to the blade joint to maintain smooth operation and occasional disassembly for cleaning is recommended if sap build-up occurs. Store the secateurs in a dry place and use for appropriate pruning tasks to prolong service life.
