Network patch cord crossover QOLTEC CAT5E 52300
QOLTEC Cable Patchcord Crossover CAT5E (model 52300) is a 1.8 m UTP crossover Ethernet patch cable designed to connect two network devices directly without a hub or switch. Constructed to meet CAT5E performance parameters, the cable supports Fast Ethernet (100BASE-TX) linkups and typical CAT5E signal integrity. With standard RJ45 terminations and a crossover wiring scheme, it is suitable for direct device-to-device connections, short-term testing, and temporary network reconfiguration tasks.
The crossover patch cord provides a ready-made solution for linking two endpoints such as computers, routers, or switches that require transmit/receive line swapping. Its CAT5E-rated twisted-pair construction ensures consistent impedance and reduced crosstalk compared with lower-category cables, while the 1.8 m length offers flexibility in typical desk- or bench-top setups. Standard RJ45 connectors give broad compatibility with network equipment that uses 8P8C ports.
Insert each RJ45 connector into the corresponding 8P8C port of the devices to be connected. Ensure devices are powered off or have link negotiation enabled if required by the equipment. After plugging in, check link LEDs or network settings to confirm a successful connection and proper link speed. For diagnostic tasks, use this crossover cable to establish a direct link between two devices for packet testing, configuration transfers, or temporary data exchange.
Use the cable for short, indoor connections and avoid running it near sources of strong electromagnetic interference. Do not bend sharply near the connectors; leave a small service loop to prevent strain. For permanent installations or longer runs, consider using straight-through CAT5E or higher-category cabling and proper structured cabling practices.
