QOLTEC 54058 is a 5 m fibre optic cable engineered for high-speed data links such as InfiniBand and other network backbones. The cable uses OM2 multimode glass with a 50 µm core diameter and provides full-duplex transmission via an LC connector on one end and an FC connector on the other. Designed for short- to medium-range interconnects, it is suitable for data centre links, telecom racks and equipment-to-equipment connections where reliable multimode performance is required.
The OM2 50 µm multimode construction ensures consistent modal bandwidth for local area networks and typical data centre distances. A duplex configuration supports simultaneous transmit and receive channels, reducing the need for multiple separate fibres. The combination of LC and FC connectors provides compatibility with a wide range of switches, transceivers and legacy equipment. The 5 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or rack-to-equipment routing without excess slack.
Inspect both connectors and corresponding transceiver or adapter ports for cleanliness before mating. Align the LC and FC connectors with the appropriate ports and insert until the connector latch or thread secures the connection; avoid excessive force.
