Fiber optic cable QOLTEC 54281 SC–SC 1 m, 9 µm cores, green/yellow
QOLTEC 54281 is a 1 m single-mode fiber optic cable with SC connectors on both ends and a 9 µm core diameter. Designed for optical network connections, the cable combines a compact length with standard SC terminations to link servers, switches, storage devices and telecom equipment. The green and yellow jacket colors provide clear visual identification for run management in racks and distribution panels. The cable uses a low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) outer sheath and is individually tested for transmission quality.
The QOLTEC 54281 offers single-mode performance with 9 µm cores suitable for high-speed, long-distance optical transmission. SC–SC terminations ensure straightforward mating with standard SC ports and patch panels. LSZH outer jacket minimizes toxic gas emission in case of fire and supports safer installations in enclosed spaces. Individual product testing guarantees consistent connector quality and reliable optical continuity.
Route the fiber cable between devices with SC ports ensuring bend radius is not exceeded and connectors remain clean. Remove protective caps only when ready to connect, align and insert SC connectors until they click into place. For disconnection, depress the latch and pull straight out. Maintain connector endfaces clean using approved fiber cleaning tools and inspect with a fiber microscope if required.
Use the cable in indoor installations such as server rooms, cabinets and distribution frames. Avoid tight bends and crushing; follow manufacturer-specified minimum bend radius. Keep connectors capped when not in use to prevent contamination. Choose single-mode compatible transceivers and patch panels to ensure optimal performance.
