Optical fiber cable QOLTEC 54299 SC–SC 3 m, 9 µm core, blue/yellow
QOLTEC 54299 is a 3 m single-mode optical fiber cable with SC–SC connectors and a 9 µm core diameter, designed for reliable optical signal transmission between network devices. The duplex cable features blue and yellow outer jackets for clear channel identification and is suitable for interconnects between switches, servers, patch panels and telecommunications equipment in data centers and enterprise installations. The cable is individually tested and uses an LSZH outer sheath to reduce hazardous gas emissions in case of fire.
The cable supports single-mode 9 µm core optical transmission for long-distance, low-loss links and is terminated with standardized SC connectors for stable mechanical mating and easy insertion into equipment ports. Its duplex construction with distinct blue and yellow jackets simplifies polarity and channel management during installation. The LSZH jacket improves safety in enclosed spaces by limiting toxic smoke and corrosive gases. Each unit is individually tested to ensure consistent optical performance and easy handling for fast deployments.
Route the QOLTEC 54299 cable between equipment ports, ensuring proper bend radius and avoiding sharp kinks. Insert SC connectors into matching SC ports until they click into place, observing correct polarity by matching transmit and receive channels according to your network layout. Secure and manage the cable with appropriate cable management accessories to maintain minimum bend radius and prevent physical stress. For removal, press the SC connector latch and gently withdraw the connector from the port.
Use the cable in indoor installations and data center environments where LSZH jackets are preferred. Maintain manufacturer-recommended minimum bend radii, keep connectors clean using appropriate fiber cleaning tools, and verify link performance after installation using optical test equipment. Avoid exposure to prolonged mechanical strain, excessive tension or tight cable ties to preserve optical integrity.
