Product information

Description

Free up 65% of your MacBook's footprint and improve cooling with the Rain Design mTower laptop stand. Its unique floating aluminium design creates usable space beneath the MacBook while increasing airflow around the device. The stand complements an external monitor such as the Apple Thunderbolt Display, creating a clean, space-saving MacBook-and-desktop setup with a matching sand-blasted anodized finish.

Advantages

The mTower is made from a single piece of high-quality aluminium with a sand-blasted anodized surface for a seamless, screw-free appearance that matches MacBook finishes. Elevating the notebook reduces the risk of liquid damage from accidental desk spills. As an all-aluminium construction, the stand acts as a passive heat sink: it draws heat away from the MacBook and, together with special air gaps in the holder, improves convection and airflow to reduce internal fan activity and overall operating noise.

Suitable for

Apple MacBook models (Pro, Air, Retina) released after 2010
Setups with an external monitor or Thunderbolt display
Users who need a tidier desktop and extra workspace under the laptop
Environments where improved passive cooling and quieter operation are desired

Key specifications

Brand: Rain Design
Model: mTower (MPN 10037, EAN 0891607000377)
Material: One-piece aluminium, sand-blasted anodized finish
Product colour: Silver
Dimensions (approx.): Height 3.46 inches (88 mm), Width (base) 9.84 inches (250 mm), Depth (base) 4.48 inches (114 mm), Width (holder) 0.98 inches
Weight: 0.665 kg
Compatibility: Apple MacBooks after 2010; notebooks with depth less than 10.4 inches; includes rubber adapters for snug fit and scratch protection

How to use

Place the mTower on a flat desk surface and fit the supplied rubber adapters into the holder to match your MacBook model. Gently set the MacBook into the holder so it rests securely and floats above the desk; ensure the notebook is centred and stable. When using an external display, position the monitor at a comfortable viewing height and connect the MacBook while it sits on the stand. Periodically check the rubber adapters for wear and replace them if necessary.

Usage recommendations

Use the mTower on a stable, level surface and avoid placing heavy objects on top of the raised laptop. The stand is designed for MacBooks without bulky third-party cases; compatibility may be reduced with some protective covers. Clean the aluminium surface with a soft, dry cloth to preserve the anodized finish.
