Irrigation valve RainPoint 1" DC Electronic Irrigation Valve BIV025ESC-DC
The RainPoint 1" DC Electronic Irrigation Valve BIV025ESC-DC is a 1-inch solenoid valve for garden and landscape irrigation. It operates on 9–24 V DC using latch (pulse) technology to provide reliable on/off control of water flow while minimising energy consumption. The valve supports pressures from 0.2 to 10 bar, is protected to IP68 and is suitable for automatic controllers, battery-powered systems and demanding outdoor installations.
The latch coil design requires only a short electrical pulse to change valve state, which reduces power draw and extends battery life in off-grid setups. Robust construction and an IP68 rating protect the valve from moisture and harsh environmental conditions, while wide operating pressure and temperature ranges ensure stable performance in varied installations.
This valve is designed for applications requiring a 1" BSP connection and DC latch control; it may not be suitable where different thread sizes or AC-driven solenoids are required. Systems that cannot provide the specified pulse duration or minimum capacitance may experience unreliable switching.
Install the valve inline using compatible 1" BSP fittings and ensure secure, watertight connections. Connect the control wiring to a compatible 9–24 V DC latch-capable controller or driver. Provide a pulse of at least the specified duration and ensure the controller or power source meets the minimum capacitance requirement for reliable switching. Test the valve operation and check for leaks before leaving the system under automated control.
For reliable long-term operation, use a controller or driver designed for DC latch solenoids, include the recommended capacitance in the power supply, and perform periodic checks for leaks and debris that could affect valve sealing.
