The RainPoint HCS026FRF Soil Hydration Meter is a compact WiFi-enabled moisture sensor for garden beds, pots and balcony boxes. How to use

Insert three AAA batteries into the meter, place the 11 cm probe into the soil at root level and power on the device. For remote monitoring, pair the meter with the RainPoint Wi‑Fi hub and connect it to the RainPoint Home app; the app displays live moisture readings, stores logs up to one year and allows you to set low/high moisture alerts. Use the dry–moist–wet scale or select the soil type in the app for more precise readings. Leave the waterproof sensor in the ground for continuous monitoring or remove it if needed for manual checks.

Usage recommendations

Place the probe near the plant roots but avoid contact with large stones or hard surfaces. Replace batteries before long storage periods and consult the RainPoint Home app to set appropriate low/high moisture thresholds for each plant type. When integrating with smart irrigation, test automatic settings on a small zone first to confirm correct response.
