The Raspberry SC1152 27W USB-C PD power adapter is an indoor power supply designed to provide stable power to small PCs, single-board computers such as the Raspberry Pi 5, and other portable electronic devices. It delivers up to 5.1V at 5A and supports Power Delivery profiles for higher voltages, enabling more demanding peripherals and PD-compatible devices to receive the appropriate power levels.
This compact white adapter increases the available current to the Raspberry Pi 5 USB ports when a USB-C PD source is detected, raising the nominal per-port allocation from the default 600 mA to 1.6 A in total for the board's USB outputs. In addition to 5.1V @ 5A output for general use, the adapter can negotiate PD profiles to provide 3A at 9V, 2.25A at 12V and 1.8A at 15V for compatible devices, offering versatility across a range of applications.
Connect the adapter to a compatible device via its USB-C output. When connected to a Raspberry Pi 5, the board will detect the USB-C PD source and automatically increase available USB port current accordingly. For PD-compatible devices, the adapter will negotiate the appropriate voltage and current profile automatically. Use in dry indoor environments and ensure the device's power requirements match the adapter's available PD profiles.
Use the adapter indoors on a stable surface, avoid exposure to moisture or extreme temperatures, and verify that connected devices accept the supported voltages. For reliable operation, use only appropriate USB-C cables rated for the required current and PD capability.
