The Managed L2 Gigabit PoE Switch Ruijie RG-NBS3100-24GT4SFP-P-V2 is a rack-mountable network switch offering 24 Gigabit RJ-45 ports (10/100/1000) and 4 SFP slots with a switching capacity of 56 Gbit/s and an 8k MAC address table. Designed for small to medium office networks and access layer deployments, the unit supports IEEE 802.3af/at PoE for powering IP cameras, wireless access points and other PoE devices, and includes L2 protocol support such as STP/RSTP/MSTP for loop prevention and topology resilience.
This managed L2 switch provides a 370W PoE budget with up to 30W per port, suitable for a wide range of PoE devices. Metallic housing and rack-mount design ensure reliable installation in wiring closets and small racks. Enterprise-class features such as link aggregation, VLAN, IGMP snooping and ACLs deliver predictable traffic management and multicast control. Built-in surge protection (6 kV) and multiple security policies improve network stability and device protection. Cloud-based management and SON zero-touch provisioning simplify deployment and ongoing monitoring.
Mount the switch in a standard 19-inch rack or on a shelf and connect the AC power lead. Use the RJ-45 ports for copper connections to PCs, APs and PoE devices and the SFP slots for fiber uplinks where required. Configure basic network settings and VLANs via the web-based management interface, CLI or Ruijie Cloud platform. Enable PoE on required ports and verify PoE budget to ensure sufficient power for connected devices. Apply STP/MSTP and link aggregation settings as needed to integrate the switch into an existing L2 topology.
Plan PoE capacity according to device power requirements and leave headroom for peak load; monitor power consumption through the management interface or Ruijie Cloud to avoid overcommitment. Use SFP uplinks for longer-distance or higher-reliability connections, and enable IGMP snooping for efficient multicast handling in CCTV or IPTV deployments. Keep firmware updated and apply ACLs to limit unnecessary traffic and improve network security.
