Rittal HD 1683.630 stainless steel control station housing for 3 pushbuttons, material 1.4301
Rittal HD 1683.630 stainless steel control station housing is designed to accommodate three 30.5 mm pushbuttons and to protect operator controls in demanding industrial and hygienic environments. Constructed from material 1.4301 (stainless steel), the enclosure offers corrosion-resistant performance with a compact footprint and ready-to-install cut-outs for switches. The design includes an all-round, gap-free silicone seal between the enclosure and cover and a hygiene-compliant quick-release hexagon fastener, making it suitable for food, beverage and washdown applications where reliable sealing and easy cleaning are required.
The housing is made from stainless steel 1.4301, providing resistance to corrosion and ensuring long-term durability in moist or cleaning-intensive environments. Pre-cut openings for three 30.5 mm pushbuttons reduce installation time and simplify panel assembly. The gap-free silicone seal and quick-release fastening system improve hygiene by minimizing crevices where contaminants can collect and by enabling fast access for maintenance or cleaning.
This housing is specifically configured for three 30.5 mm pushbuttons; systems requiring different switch sizes, a greater number of actuators, or built-in displays may need a different enclosure. It is not a full control cabinet and does not provide space for larger control components or extensive wiring harnesses beyond basic operator wiring.
Mount the housing to a suitable supporting surface following local installation standards and ensure the cut-out orientation matches the operator access direction. Fit the three 30.5 mm pushbuttons into the prepared openings and connect wiring according to the device and machine electrical schematics. Ensure the silicone seal is seated correctly around the cover before fastening; use the quick-release hexagon fastener to secure the cover and to allow rapid access for inspection or cleaning. After installation, verify ingress protection and correct operation of all switched functions.
For hygiene-critical or washdown environments, use compatible stainless-steel pushbuttons and IP-rated actuators, follow regular cleaning procedures that do not damage seals, and inspect the silicone seal and fastener periodically for wear to maintain corrosion resistance and hygiene performance.
