PTC heater Rittal 3105.410 with built-in fan, 1 fan, black/grey — rack accessory
Rittal 3105.410 is a PTC heater with an integrated fan designed for use in racks and electrical enclosures. The unit combines a positive temperature coefficient heating element with a single built-in fan to deliver controlled cabinet heating and air circulation. Finished in black and grey, this accessory is intended to reduce relative humidity, prevent condensation and maintain stable internal temperatures in control cabinets and switchgear housings.
The PTC heating element provides self-regulating temperature behaviour, reducing the risk of overheating while maintaining consistent heat output. The built-in fan improves air circulation within the enclosure to distribute heat evenly and accelerate moisture removal. The compact design allows installation in racks and cabinets where space is limited, and the two-colour finish integrates with common enclosure aesthetics. Continuous thermal output range supports maintaining temperatures above the dew point to prevent condensation-related damage.
This heater is intended for use in enclosed racks and cabinets and may not be suitable for open or poorly sealed enclosures where heat loss is high. For very large cabinets or rooms that require higher total heating capacity, multiple units or a different heating solution may be necessary. Do not use the unit outside of the recommended enclosure application or in locations with incompatible ambient conditions.
Mount the heater in the designated position inside the cabinet or rack following the enclosure manufacturer's mounting points and safety clearances. Connect the unit to the appropriate mains supply and any required control or thermostat wiring according to local electrical codes and the product's installation instructions. Adjust the heater and fan settings, where applicable, to maintain a temperature above the dew point but within equipment operating limits. Regularly inspect the device and the cabinet interior for dust buildup and ensure ventilation paths remain unobstructed.
Use the Rittal PTC heater in sealed or moderately ventilated cabinets where preventing condensation and stabilising internal temperature are priorities. For optimal performance, combine the heater with a thermostat or hygrostat to control runtime and maintain target humidity levels; consider additional units for larger enclosures or higher heat-loss situations.
