Freestanding rack cabinet Rittal 5307.190, IP55 protection, Grey, 800×800×2000 mm
The Rittal 5307.190 freestanding rack cabinet is a 42U-compatible enclosure designed for IT, telecom and control equipment that requires dust and water protection. With external dimensions of 800 mm width, 800 mm depth and 2000 mm height and an IP55 rating, this grey cabinet provides a protected environment for servers, network switches, patch panels and other rack-mounted hardware in production floors, technical rooms and industrial settings where ingress protection is needed.
The IP55 protection rating reduces the ingress of dust and protects against water jets, helping to maintain reliable operation of installed equipment. The 42U height and standard 19-inch rack compatibility accommodate common server and networking hardware while the 800×800 mm footprint balances usable internal space with a relatively compact external size. The grey finish offers a neutral appearance suited to technical and industrial environments.
This cabinet is intended for rack-mounted equipment and may not be appropriate for free-form or oversized devices that are not 19-inch rack compatible. If a higher level of protection against prolonged water immersion or corrosive environments is required, a cabinet with a higher IP rating or special materials should be considered.
Position the freestanding cabinet on a level surface and allow clearance around the cabinet for ventilation and cable routing. Install 19-inch rail profiles and mount rack equipment according to standard rack mounting procedures, securing devices with appropriate screws or cages nuts. Maintain sealed doors and panels to preserve the IP55 protection; route cables through designated gland plates or cable entries and seal unused openings. Regularly inspect door gaskets and seals and clean ventilation paths to ensure continued environmental protection.
For reliable operation, use the cabinet with proper cable management, active airflow or rack-mounted fans where heat load is significant, and maintain seals and access panels. Select compatible mounting hardware and plan for service access to front and rear doors.
