Freestanding Rack Cabinet Rittal 5330.190 42U IP55 19" Black/Grey
The Rittal 5330.190 freestanding rack cabinet is a 19" cabinet with 42U usable rack units, designed for installation of servers, network and telecommunications equipment in environments that require elevated protection. With a rated IP55 enclosure, this cabinet provides dust ingress protection and protection against water jets, while a keyed lock adds a basic level of physical security. The cabinet comes in a black and grey finish and includes removable front and back doors and removable side panels to simplify installation and maintenance.
This 42U Rittal rack cabinet combines robust environmental protection with practical accessibility: the IP55 rating helps protect sensitive electronics from dust and water, and the removable doors and side panels provide straightforward access for mounting, cabling and service. The cabinet supports standard 19" equipment and is constructed from durable materials to support rack-mounted loads. A keyed lock on the door helps restrict unauthorized access.
This cabinet is designed for environments requiring moderate ingress protection; it may be unnecessary for strictly controlled, dust-free data centers where higher-density or specialized cooling enclosures are preferred. It is also not a purpose-built earthquake- or vibration-certified cabinet unless additional mounting or seismic hardware is specified separately.
Position the freestanding cabinet on a level surface that can support its weight plus installed equipment. Remove front, rear or side panels as needed to mount 19" equipment into the 42U rack—follow standard 19" rack-rail mounting procedures and secure devices with appropriate cage nuts and screws. Route power and network cabling through designated entry points or cable-management features, ensuring seals and gaskets remain intact to preserve the IP55 rating. After installation, close and lock the doors to maintain environmental protection and restrict access.
To retain the IP55 protection, keep door seals and panel fixings properly installed and inspect gaskets periodically. Use appropriate airflow management and monitor temperatures when populating the cabinet with dense server or networking equipment.
