Door Rittal VX_IT 7030.283 — Glass and Steel Cabinet Door, Black/Grey, 1 pc
Rittal VX_IT 7030.283 is a replacement and upgrade door for VX IT series enclosures, combining a glazed viewing area with a robust steel frame finished in black and grey. Supplied as a single unit, this glass-and-steel cabinet door is intended for use on server racks and industrial housings where visual inspection, controlled access and protection of installed equipment are required. The integrated vent flaps are designed to open automatically in alarm conditions to assist with airflow management.
The combination of tempered glazing and steel provides a balance of visibility and mechanical protection while maintaining the enclosure’s structural integrity. The black and grey finish offers a neutral appearance suitable for data centres and technical rooms. Built to fit VX IT series housings, the door allows quick replacement or installation with components engineered for compatibility.
This door is designed specifically for VX IT series cabinets and may not fit other enclosure models or brands without modification. If full acoustic insulation, extreme environmental sealing (e.g., IP rating beyond the enclosure standard) or specialized locking systems are required, verify compatibility with the enclosure and accessories before purchase.
To install, align the door to the VX IT cabinet opening and secure it to the enclosure using the original mounting points or compatible hinges and fastening hardware. Ensure the door seals and locking mechanism engage correctly and test the vent flap operation by simulating alarm conditions if possible. Use the glazed panel for non-intrusive visual checks of equipment status; open the door only when required for maintenance or configuration changes to preserve enclosure environmental properties.
Use the Rittal VX_IT 7030.283 door for installations where front-panel visibility and secure protection are both required; periodically inspect hinges, seals and vent flap function and replace damaged glazing or hardware promptly to maintain safety and performance.
